  • Recognize a new tablet-based visual acuity test.
  • Identify visual acuity using the new tablet-based system to EDTRS visual acuity in a clinical setting.
  • Recognize the effect of age on visual acuity using the new tablet-based system compared to EDTRS.
  • Recognize the role of AI in the field of intraocular lens calculations for cataract surgery.
  • Identify the current existing AI formulas for IOL calculations and how do they compare with older ones.
  • Recognize the prospects and future trends of AI technology in the field of IOL calculations.

This course requires a passing post-assessment score of 80% or higher upon completion to acquire AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM, AAPA Category 1 CME credits and ANCC contact hours. The post-assessment questions are broke down in modules, and credit can be obtained as you complete each module.

How to Claim AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits, ANCC Contact Hours and/or AAPA Category 1 CME Credit

  • In order to obtain CME credit and/or MOC points, please go to the following web  address:  https://cveducation.mayo.edu.
  • Log in to your account. Your account information will be the same username and password you used to purchase the product.
  • Go to My Dashboard.
  • Select the course Event Dashboard under the Current Events tab.
  • Navigate to the Post-Assessment page on the left navigation pane.
  • Complete the Post-assessment in two (2) attempts or less scoring 80% or higher.
  • After completing and passing the post-assessment, navigate to the Certificates page in the left navigation pane.
  • Select AAPA Category 1 CME Credit to obtain your AAPA credit.
  • Select AMA PRA Category 1 to obtain your CME credit.
  • Select ANCC Contact Hours to obtain your ANCC credit.
  • View and print your certificate after you have claimed your credits.

  • The 80% pass rate is set by Mayo Clinic School of Continuous Professional Development and follows the ABIM standard pass rate. The ABIM passing standard is 80%, the majority of the boards are set at that same passing standard.
  • AMA PRA Category 1 CME credit, ANCC Contact Hours and AAPA Category 1 CME credit must be claimed prior to the expiration date or 18 months from date of purchase.
