The hope to democratise medical education across the globe in particular with developing nations, is a Vision of the Smart Hospital Alliance (SHA)’s Founding Team that has been in the making for a while.   We see a world where better patient outcomes can be achieved through the implementation of best practices with participation from the worldwide medical community to raise global clinical standards.

It is now possible with the creation of an innovative technology platform. The SHA platform aims to provide access to all healthcare professionals to quality continuing medical education, knowledge and experience exchange, research collaboration, peer reviews and coaching including access to technological innovations such as teleconsulting with experts for complex cases in remote areas.

All these will be realised without regard to the nation’s economic power.

SHA is a technology platform designed and built to dismantle economic and logistic barriers that are presently the contributing factors to the disparity of medical education between the more and less developed regions in our world.  With SHA, we can leverage technology innovations to reduce these frictions. The highest quality medical education could be just as available to a healthcare professional’s smartphone in a desert region as it is to a learner with AR goggles designing a smart city.
